The Future & Options contracts of any stock enter the ban period when the open interest (OI) on it crosses 95% of the market wide positions limits or MWPL. The ban on it is reversed only if the open interest falls below 80%.
Traders who trade in index do not encounter a situation of security ban.

It was down 6.6% from the previous session.The MWPL for Bandhan Bank stood at 95.9% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 78.6 million. It was down by 3.7% from the previous session.The MWPL for GMR Airports stood at 88.1% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 202.7 million. It was down 3.1% from the previous session.For GNFC, the MWPL stood at 81.1% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 6.2 million. It was down 1.7% from the previous session.
The MWPL for HAL stood at 102.4% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 11.5 million. It was down 9.4% from the previous session.
The MWPL for Hindustan Copper stood at 89.3% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 33.3 million. It was down by 2.4% from the previous session.
MWPL for India Cements stood at 150.1% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 14.9 million. It was up by 24.7% from the previous session.
MWPL for PEL stood at 89.3% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 13 million. It was down 7% from the previous session.
The MWPL for RBL Bank stood at 84.9% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 51.3 million. It was down 0.9% from the previous session.
The MWPL for SAIL stood at 101.4% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 125.5 million. It was down by 9.1% from the previous session.
For Vedanta, the MWPL stood at 88.7% on Thursday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 147 million. It was down 5% from the previous session.
