The board of HAL declared a final dividend of Rs 13 per share for its eligible shareholders earlier in June.
βThe Board at its meeting held today has, inter-alia, recommended the following for approval of the shareholders of the Company at the ensuing Annual General Meeting (AGM): Final dividend of Rs. 13 per equity share of Rs. 5/- each fully paid up( 260%) for the Financial Year 2023-24, which shall be paid to the eligible shareholders within 30 days from the date of its approval in AGM. Record Date for the payment of final dividend for the financial Year 2023-24, if approved by the shareholders in the ensuing AGM, will be Wednesday, the 21st August, 2024,β said the company in a filing to the exchanges.
This means today is the last day to buy shares of the company in order to qualify for the announced dividends.
Dividends are paid to shareholders listed in the companyβs records on the record date. To be eligible for dividends, shares must be purchased at least one day before the ex-date, as transactions settle the next day.
